Overall, July was a very bad month

Life in general. I seem to be having a string of bad luck. One of the more dramatic was when I got back to where my car was parked at the commuter train lot, got in, closed my door, and had the rear liftgate shattered. Pretty much scared the P out of me. And then I had a mini nervous breakdown.

And unfortunately, it seems to be carrying over into August, as I managed to slam my own hand in a car door yesterday.

Overall, I did pretty bad on the July resolutions. I did manage to get rid of more yarn than I had coming in - 5904.6 yards vs. 4054.63 yards. Mostly this was because right at the end of the month I learned a coworkers daughter knits and I put together a bag of stuff that I've had listed as "will trade or sell" on Ravelry to give her. At the time I was motivated by being just a few items short of my decluttering goal of getting rid of 1000 items last month. But it also helped here. Still negative for the year though.

And as for projects, well I already confessed to starting a new one. The knitting is done on that, but I just can't seem to get around to felting it. Then the only knitting I've been in the mood for is the Arctic Lace stole, not the projects I had planned to work on!

Oh well, and I just can't think clearly enough to make goals for this month, other than wanting the stash to continue downward.

Considering all that has occurred, I am quite impressed that you have even been into knitting at all.

Hope the damage wasn't too severe to your hand... that can be quite nasty.

Sending good vibes your way for healing. August will be better. :)
